INSTANT STORYTELLING!

Instagram stories has been slowly catching up and has officially beaten the Snapchat user number so needless to say you need to start paying close attention to your Insta-stories! So we sat together & compiled/created some fun ways of spicing up your Insta-story so you can stand out of the crowd.

Here we go:

1.ADDING A COLOR FOG:

This subtle effect is one of our personal favourites! Though this effect is only possible on an iPhone & also the image cannot be posted onto stories directly. You'll have to take a screenshot of the screen with the fog effect, crop the image (to remove the header and footer) & then upload the image-we know it's tedious but it's worth the effort!

The steps to get this effect:

1.Add an image on your story screen

2.Select an emoji of the color you want your fog to be of

3.Keep expanding the emoji to a size till it starts fogging out

4.Move it around to place it exactly where you want it

#ELDTip: To experiment you can even try mixing two colours to create a unique fog colour.

2.ADDING DOUBLE TEXTS:

The steps to get this effect:

1. Add your text in a solid color

2. Create another text block with the same text & in the same size in another color

3. Get the texts to be perfectly placed on each other

#ELDTip: Use this with pop colors for the effect to look eye-catching!

3.ADDING MICROSCOPIC EMOJIS:

So there are no steps to this one. It's very contextual & subjective to your image but it's a really fun technique to get people to spend more time on your story.

You can use this to play fun games such as : spot the difference, I spy, etc.

4.ADDING TEXT BLOCKS:

We're always trying to find crisp ways of adding text on our insta-story and we found this trick to be super helpful!

Create text blocks in this way:

1.Pick an emoji with clean lines such as the unicorn float, flamingo float, watermelon, etc.

2.Enlarge the emoji to a size till you can only see the block shape.

3.Change the orientation of it the way you want it placed.

#ELDTip: The circle & square emojis from the regular emoji bank can also be used one on top of the other to create a unique text block.
